How is a 4-person meeting pod different from a traditional small meeting room?

A traditional meeting room requires construction, permanent floor space, and often a booking system that‘s fully occupied. A 4-person meeting pod is a self-contained unit that installs in hours, can be placed in open-plan areas, and is available on demand. It delivers speech privacy without the cost and permanence of a built room.

Can a meeting pod handle video conferencing for all four participants?

The meeting pod is designed with front-facing lighting optimized for video, a wide interior that accommodates all four participants in camera range, and pre-wired display mounts. The enhanced ventilation also handles the additional heat from four people and their devices during extended video calls.

What is the typical use case for a meeting pod?

The most common uses are: team stand-ups, brainstorming sessions, client presentations, hybrid meetings with remote participants, project reviews, and confidential discussions. It’s designed as a replacement for small meeting rooms that are either unavailable or too expensive to build.

Does the pod come with a booking system?

The PR Series includes an integrated 8-inch touchscreen with a booking system that syncs with your calendar. PE and PC series pods can be upgraded with booking functionality. The touchscreen also controls lighting, ventilation, and display settings.

How many power outlets are available for four people?

Prodec’s 4-person pods come with a minimum of two AC outlets and four USB ports (PE/PC series), with the PR series offering four AC outlets and four USB-C ports plus wireless charging. This is enough for four laptops, a display, and video conferencing equipment.

Can the meeting pod be relocated if our office layout changes?

Prodec meeting pods are designed for relocation. With the optional mobility kit, the pod can be moved without disassembly. For larger configurations or relocation through narrow doorways, partial disassembly may be required. The modular design ensures repeated assembly without loss of structural precision.
