About prodec work pod FAQs
The 6-person work pod is designed specifically for extended use — not just short meetings. Ventilation is sized for six occupants over 8+ hours, lighting is circadian-friendly, and seating is ergonomic. A project team can use it as their dedicated workspace for weeks or months without discomfort or air quality issues.
The standard configuration supports six laptops (6 AC outlets, 6 USB-C ports), plus shared displays, cameras, and peripherals via table-integrated HDMI and USB. Optional PoE and LAN ports are available for wired network connectivity. This is significantly more capacity than a standard meeting pod, which is sized for shorter sessions and fewer devices.
The modular furniture system allows you to switch between theatre, U-shape, and cluster layouts in minutes without tools. Table modules can be separated or combined. Mobile whiteboards and displays can be repositioned as needed. This flexibility is a core design feature of the work pod — it adapts to your team‘s workflow, not the other way around.
A height-adjustable desk option is available for sit-stand work. A standing-height work surface can also be specified for sprint reviews, stand-ups, and active collaboration sessions. Ergonomic seating options include adjustable-height task chairs with backrest support for full-day use.
A 4-person meeting pod is optimized for meetings — video calls, presentations, and discussions of 1–2 hours. A 6-person work pod is optimized for working — longer sessions, more devices, more storage, and more furniture flexibility. It is a workspace, not just a meeting space. If your team needs a room to meet in, a meeting pod works. If your team needs a room to work in, a work pod is the right choice.
Standard configurations ship in 2–3 weeks from order confirmation. Installation takes under 3 hours — our modular design means the pod arrives partially pre-assembled and is completed on-site with basic tools. No construction, no electrician needed for standard configurations. For urgent projects, expedited production options are available on request.
Prodec work pods are designed for relocation. With the optional mobility kit, the pod can be moved without disassembly. For larger configurations or relocation through narrow doorways, partial disassembly may be required. The modular design ensures repeated assembly without loss of structural precision.
